Cadets from 750 (Thorne) Squadron have this weekend attended 1053 (Armthorpe) Squadron for two courses aimed at older cadets.

On Saturday, Sergeant Alex Brown attended a Basic Adult Staff Instructor Course (BASIC), along with Civilian Instructor Neil Craven.  All cadets approaching 18 years old who wish to continue as a cadet must attend this course, which covers health and safety, child protection and other air cadet related issues.

On Sunday, Sergeant Brown was joined by Sergeant Ethan Taylor with a Methods of Instruction course, aimed at providing them with the skills to allow them to teach the younger cadets on Squadron nights.
