On 5 June, air cadets at Thorne commemorated events in northern France with a special 1940s evening.

Starting with a moments silence and reflection to remember those who fought and gave their lives for our freedom on that day, the Squadron then played games which were played by the young people of the 1940s.

They also listened to radio commentaries of the landings and to 1940s music, while also having a barbecue.
